Wildpark Schwarzach - nature experience for young and old
The Wildpark Schwarzach is a spacious nature adventure park in the Kleiner Odenwald. It accommodates over 50 different animal species on an area of 100,000 square metres. More than 400 wild and domestic animals, from zebra to wild boar, populate the park and are happy to welcome visitors. Stalactite Cave Eberstadt - unique in Southern Germany
The Eberstadt dripstone cave was discovered by chance in 1971. The breathtakingly beautiful natural monument is unique in southern Germany. Guttenberg Castle - the castle of the eagles
The late medieval Stauferburg Guttenberg is considered one of the most popular excursion destinations in the Neckar Valley thanks to the German Greifenwarte, the castle museum and the castle tavern. Under its mighty keep and within its imposing walls you can feel the flair of the Middle Ages.
The castle can be reached from our hotel by car in about 20 minutes and via the Neckar cycle path in about 1 hour.

Bad Wimpfen - the town with the blue tower
The spa town of Bad Wimpfen towers above the Neckar and has one of the most beautiful city silhouettes in Germany. It is dominated by the largest Stauferpfalz north of the Alps and the "Blue Tower", which has been inhabited for 650 years. Numerous half-timbered houses worth seeing complete the picturesque, winding townscape.
From Lamm there you can reach Bad Wimpfen by car in about half an hour. By bike you need about one and a half hours on the Neckar cycle path.

Hornberg Castle lies high above the Neckar. Visitors can visit an interesting castle ruin, taste wines in the castle wine cellar and visit the castle restaurant or castle café with a great view.

Personalities such as the resistance fighter Sophie Scholl and the Kern family of artists have carried the Forchtenbergs name around the world. Today the little town is worth a visit because of its medieval backdrop and the Scholl memorials.

Maulbronn Monastery - UNESCO World Cultural Heritage
Maulbronn Monastery is a former Cistercian abbey and is considered the best preserved medieval monastery complex north of the Alps. All styles and stages of development from the Romanesque to the Late Gothic are represented here. Maulbronn Monastery has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1993.

Zwingenberg Castle Festival
Every year in August the castle festival takes place in the open air at Zwingenberg Castle. Since the neighbouring Wolf Gorge is said to have served Carl Maria von Weber as the model for his opera Der Freischütz, this opera is the focus of the Castle Festival. But also other operas and operettas as well as musicals are performed. The performance takes place in the large courtyard of the castle, which is characterised by good acoustics and seats around 800 guests.

Hiking experience Roman paths
Get to know the Romans on six varied hikes (lengths: 4 to 14 km). Around Mosbach you can discover two sections of the Limes, the Upper Germanic-Raetian Limes (UNESCO World Heritage) and the older Odenwald Limes. In the former Roman settlement Neckarburken there is a specially established Roman museum.

Quality hiking trail Neckarsteig
Anyone hiking on the Neckarsteig immerses themselves in a wonderful natural and cultural landscape over 128 km between Heidelberg and Bad Wimpfen. The certified "Quality Trail Wanderbares Deutschland" is suitable for both day and multi-day tours. The sights along the route include many castles and palaces as well as excellent gastronomy with regional specialities.

Castle tour with eagle view
In the course of the varied route it goes several times from the valley of the Neckar up to three castles worth seeing. Our route runs through villages and on country roads, partly on forest paths and always with a view of the meanders of the Neckar. At Hornberg Castle and Guttenberg Castle you have the possibility to visit the castles and have a break.

BUGA 2019 Heilbronn site
The Federal Garden Show 2019, a 173-day garden festival, attracted around 2.3 million visitors to Heilbronn. It was the unique combination of garden and city exhibition that fascinated and contributed significantly to the success of the BUGA Heilbronn. Many permanently created areas such as the Neckaruferpark, the wooden footbridge, the footpaths and cycle paths on the noise barrier, playgrounds and sports facilities will remain for local recreation.

Round hiking trail Margaret Gorge
The wildly romantic Margaret Gorge in Neckargerach is a 300 m long gorge in which the Flursbach loses about 110 m of altitude difference over eight waterfall levels. The circular hiking trail is a beautiful afternoon excursion for sure-footed hikers and, in dry weather, is also easily accessible for children. Castle road cycle path
"Experience a journey through time" is the invitation of the Castle Road, which runs from Mannheim to Bayreuth and is one of the oldest holiday routes in Germany. Around 60 castles and palaces can be admired along the 780-kilometre route.

Mosbach is an ideal starting point for the Three Valleys Tour, which winds its way through the Neckar, Elz and Seebach valleys over a total length of around 55 km. The cycle path leads past natural corners of the Odenwald. Whether the romantic ruins and castles in the Neckar Valley, the Museum am Odenwald-Limes in Neckarburken, the moated castle in Dallau or the beautifully situated Roberner See in the Seebach Valley - there are sights and interesting things to discover at every corner.

Cycle on historic train route between Mosbach and Mudau
At the instigation of the Grand Ducal Baden Ministry, a secondary railway was built from Mosbach to Mudau at the beginning of the 20th century. Since 1980 the route has been used by a hiking and cycling path of the "Wanderbahn". Here one finds idyll and pure relaxation. From Mosbach to Mudau, 300 meters of altitude difference have to be overcome, but "steep" sections are rare. The highlight is the original steam locomotive (99 7202) at the terminal station in Mudau.

This 54 km long tour takes you past the highlights of the Neckar Valley, such as Guttenberg Castle (the castle of the eagles), Hornberg Castle, Bad Wimpfen and Bad Rappenau, and also runs a few kilometres "overland".

This 64 km long round tour leads through the Neckar valley and the small Odenwald forest to the Schwarzach game park. The tour starts in Obrigheim, which can be reached by bike in 15 minutes from Mosbach.

On approx. 37 km (easy) you can comfortably cycle along the Neckar river and discover many sights and leisure activities. State Horticultural Show Park - Mosbach in bloom
In 1997 Mosbach organized the 15th State Garden Show of Baden-Württemberg. Since then, the 19-hectare former LGS site has developed into a flourishing local recreation area, where there is a lot on offer for young and old: playgrounds, Kneipp facilities, skater street, lake stage, singers' home, old slaughterhouse with the Neckar-Odenwald art association, beach volleyball, boules and an equipment active park. The LGS park area also regularly serves as a stage for open-air events, concerts and festivals.
